Cebu Pacific Hand Carry Allowance and Check in Baggage Rates and Prices

Cebu Pacific Air is the largest budget airlines in the Philippines. It operates in more than 24 cities in the Philippines and its neighboring countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Macau, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Brunei, Indonesia and Cambodia. The airline company also have a long haul flight to Dubai, UAE.

Over all, it has 49 aircraft on its fleet and 14 more airbuses will be added within the years 2014 and 2015.

And being a budget airline, Cebu Pacific offer competitive rates not just for it’s tickets but for other services as well such as Check In Baggage service.

Every Cebu Pacific ticket holder is given feee 7 kilos of hand carry luggage. This allowance is given usually for just a single hand carry bag ( except for laptop bags etc.). For the passenger’s other baggage, they are required to check them in for a certain fee. This is applicable for both domestic and international travels.

Rates and Charges for the Check in Baggage for Cebu Pacific differs depending on the type of flight( domestic and international) and the weight or size of your check in luggage.

If you know you will be bringing extra bags with you, it is best to book your Check in Baggage service in advance, or more popularly known as PRE-PAID Check in Baggage. You can do this during the booking of your tickets or up to 4 hours before your flight.

Domestic Check in Baggage Rates

  • Small up to 15 kgs: 180 Pesos
  • Standard up to 20kgs: 300 Pesos
  • Large up to 30kgs: 600 Pesos
  • Extra Large up to 45kgs: 1,100 Pesos

Domestic Check in Baggage Rates (except for Dubai)

  • Small up to 15 kgs: 400 Pesos
  • Standard up to 20kgs: 580 Pesos
  • Large up to 30kgs: 950 Pesos
  • Extra Large up to 45kgs: 1,700 Pesos

A passenger can only avail 1 pre paid check in service per trip.

For adults traveling with an infant, an additional 1 bag for hand carry will be given to you for free. You can also check in your baby’s stroller for free.

If you fail to avail the pre paid check in service, you can still check in your luggage at the airport during check in but the Airport Baggage Fee will be in effect.  Airport Baggage fee has a different rate or price as compared to the pre-paid checi in service.

Airport Baggage Fee

  • Domestic Flights: 500 Pesos plus 12% VAT for luggage up to 15 kilos
  • International Flights from the Philippines: 750 Pesos for bags up to 15 kilos (Dubai not included)

EBR or Excess Baggage Rate will take effect once you’ve still excess baggage for the first 15 kilos. Here are the rate for excess baggage for Cebu Pacific Flights:

Excess Baggage Rates

  • 150 Pesos per kilo for domestic and international flights
  • 1,200 pesos per kilo for excess baggage going to Dubai

Maximum Check in Baggage allowed by Cebu Pacific is 35 Kilos per passenger. how ever, a maximum weight of 32 kgs per piece of baggage is allowed based on safety procedures.

Cebu Pacific Hand Carry Allowance

Cebu Pacific allows one carry-on bag per passenger.

The size  or dimension of the bag must not exceed 56cm x 36cm x 23cm on all Airbus flights and 56cm x 35cm x 20cm on all ATR flights. Hand carry bags and must not weigh more than 7 kg for Airbus (A319, A320, A330) and 5 kilos on (Caticlan) ATR flights.

Passengers are allowed to carry additional items on board such as handbag, coat, laptop bag, camera bag, cane and crutches (for Senior Citizen and/or Person with Reduced Mobility (PRM) guests).

Airbus 330 can only accommodate one wheel chair on board. Service is based on first come first serve basis at the check in counter. If the slot is already taken, other wheel chairs can be checked in free of charge. There is one on board wheel chair in every airbus A330 in case one is needed during the flight.
