2013 List of Philippine Holidays, Special Holidays, Long Weekends


Hello there Piso Fare Friends, Malacanang recently announced the list of regular, non-working and special holidays in the Philippines for the year 2013. This has been made official by President Noynoy Aquino when he signed Proclamation Number 459 last August 16, 2012.

This is good news for those who want to travel next year for vacations abroad or for those who want to visit their relatives in far away provinces. Now you can plan easily by choosing which holidays will fall on long week-ends so that you can have all the quality time that you want for yourself and for your family.

Philippine Regular Holidays 2013

New Year’s Day– January 1 (Tuesday)  – 

Maundy Thursday  – March 28 (Thursday) start of a 4-day long weekend

Good Friday  – March 29 (Friday)

Araw ng Kagitingan  – April 9 (Tuesday)

 Labor Day  – May 1 (Wednesday)

Independence Day  – June 12 (Wednesday)

National Heroes Day   – August 26 (Last Monday of August) Long week end

Bonifacio Day  – November 30 (Saturday)

Christmas Day – December 25  (Wednesday)

Rizal Day  – December 30 (Monday) long weekend


Philippine Special (Non-Working) Days 2013

Black Saturday  – March 30 (Saturday)

Ninoy Aquino Day  – August 21 (Wednesday)

All Saints Day – November 1 (Friday) Long weekend


Additional special (non-working) days:

All Soul’s Day  – November 2 (Saturday)

Day Before Christmas  – December 24 (Tuesday)

New Year’s Eve – December 31  (Tuesday)

Celebrations for the Eid’l Fitr and Eidul Adha 2013

The dates for the celebration of the Eid’l Fitr and Eidul Adha will be announced after the exact dates are determined in the Islamic Calendar or Hijra and, or by using the lunar calendar and other calculations using Islamic astronomical methods. The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos is tasked to inform Malacanang about the exact dates of  Eid’l Fitr and Eidul Adha, once dates are determined, so that they can make proper announcements for these special Religious holidays.
