There are instances when we book promo fares tickets but failed to book check-in baggage allowance, only to find out later on, that you need a few kilos for your big bags and luggage. Fortunately, adding a baggage allowance is easy to do. All you have to do is go to Cebu Pacific website and then click on “Manage Booking” tab then click on “Add Baggage”.
Below is a visual guide to teach you how to do this.
- Login to your Cebu Pacific account.
- Point your mouse to “Manage Booking” tab.
- Click on “Add baggage”.
A new page will then load. Scroll to the middle portion until you see all your “CURRENT BOOKINGS”
- Click the booking that you want to add baggage to. By clicking you are modifying this particular confirmed booking.
- Click the “Continue” button
A new page loads and your current baggage status will then show.
If you did not buy any baggage at the time you booked your ticket, it will show none. If you already bought and paid for 15 kilos, the option to upgrade to higher package is shown.
Click “Continue” again until you arrive at the page where you can choose the Cebu Pacific prepaid baggage package that you want.
The following are Cebu Pacific’s Prepaid Baggage Options:
Small up to 15kgs.
Standard up to 20kgs.
Large up to 30kgs.
Extra Large up to 40kgs.
After you selected your preferred prepaid baggage option to add to your confirmed booking, just click on “Continue”. You will then see your total amount due for the cost of check-in baggage.
You can now pay for your check-in baggage allowance via the usual Cebu Pacific payment channels: Over the counter payment centers or Bancnet Online or BDO RIB or Metrobank Direct or Credit Card etc.
We could not stress it enough, if you know for certain that you will be bringing more than 1 luggage or carrying several balikbayan boxes etc, it is best to buy and pay for prepaid baggage. This way you will get a discount, as much as 50% discount on baggage fee is already a big deal.
You can modify your booking and add additional baggage allowance up to 4 hours before your scheduled flight.
Cebu Pacific only allows 7kg of hand-carry cabin bag. Excess baggage per kilo at the airport check-in counter is expensive compared to prepaid baggage fee.
